Why You Need To Stop Letting Fear Between You And The Things You Desire

Have you ever daydreamed about what it would feel like to walk into a store and be able to purchase whatever you want? Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to fly first class to any place in this world? And how about owning a beautiful vehicle of your choice, allowing you to get from Point A to Point B in a more comfortable and sophisticated way?

What you need to know about your material desires is that these objects and experiences don't need to just remain distant wants or wishes. You can obtain whatever you desire, BUT you've got to finally let go of fear. Fear of failure, fear of the unknown and fear of public humiliation.

And I know that in this very moment some will say: "So you're telling me that my wildest material dreams will come true if I just let go of fear? That sounds like wishful thinking to me. I have a job that is secure, why would I give that up when I might end up failing."

Sure, if you keep telling yourself that letting go of fear won't do anything for you and that this 'new age' approach is simply a load of hoopla, you will most likely keep your desires at a great distance from actually becoming your reality. However, I believe you owe it to your dreams, to allow your mind to be open enough to give this whole topic a bit more thought.

Let's say you work at a company office, the typical 9-5. You don't hate your job, but you don't love it either. You're able to pay your bills, but there isn't a whole lot left for travel, luxuries or savings by the end of each month. You wish you could buy nice things, you want to make your own schedule and you hope to be able to set yourself up for when you reach the age of retirement. And doing this job will hopefully allow you to do some of these things, especially if you end up getting promoted. So you continue to work hard, even though you know that realistically speaking, your current job probably won't support the lifestyle you truly desire.

(Fear enters the chat) But what other choice do you have? This job is secure, and also going out and doing what you truly love may not work out. You might fail. Then what?

Do you want to know the truth about those fears? They're just holding you back from achieving your highest good and greatness. So what if you start going after your dreams and there's a bump in the road? Nobody sitting at the top has ever said the road was easy. And besides, working at a company, without having any other streams of revenue to rely on; now THAT is truly the biggest risk you can take, not becoming your own boss or starting a side hustle. Anything affecting the company you work for is out of your control unless you are the boss or have some position of power. But if you haven't been able to secure such a spot within the business you work for, then you seriously need to look into how you can not only finally start achieving what you desire, but also secure financial stability for your future. Because having just one stream of revenue to count on is the real risk.

See, if the company you work for goes belly up, so will you. If whoever is in charge of your department all of a sudden feels you are an inadequate employee, there isn't much you can do about that. If you never get that promotion that you were hoping for (the one that would allow you to finally purchase a home of your own), then once again, that outcome is completely out of your control. Do you see where I am going with this?

What you should really be fearful of, is allowing other people to have complete control over whether you will ever be able to actually achieve your goals. So coming back to letting go of fears and being able to achieve what you desire when doing so: Of course, we are all entitled to our own opinions. But let's face the facts, if you let fear of failure to stop you from going after your desires, they will forever remain just that, desires. If you're reading this, you most likely want more of life. That is why it is imperative for you to stop letting fear get in between yourself and your dreams. Because honestly speaking, how many people at the office vacation in the Maledives and rev up their sports car engines in the 5-car garage of their mansions each morning before work?

Be honest with yourself. Have you allowed fear of failure to stop you from taking the necessary steps towards your dream life? I know most of us have. There's no shame in admitting this to yourself. But it is essential for you to change this before it is too late. Stop worrying about the 'what if I fail' and start thinking about the 'what if I win'. Know that you will have to work hard, overcome obstacles and fears as well as go through times of doubt when embarking on your journey to achieving your goals. But what's the alternative?

Take your first steps towards your biggest desires today. You owe it to yourself.
